Inland Marine insurance is designed to cover property in transit or property that moves around. Items such as contractors equipment and machinery, customers goods held by the business owner (bailee), fine arts, cameras, computers, medical diagnostic equipment, and a variety of other “mobile” property. The inland marine policy also covers property while it is being installed in a location. The protection offered here is not part of a standard commercial property policy and must be taken out separately or possibly added to a policy.
